Rare Earth Oxides


Rare earth elements are not interchangeable commodities. Small differences in purity, particle morphology, and composition directly affect the performance of the downstream product, whether that is a phosphor, a catalyst bed, or a specialty glass. SNT supplies rare earth materials in oxide form to customers who process these materials into finished components.

Samarium Oxide (Sm2O3)


Primary feedstock for Samarium Cobalt permanent magnet alloy production. Used in Sm2Co17 and SmCo5 alloy systems for high-temperature, corrosion-resistant magnet applications. Also used in specialty glass and nuclear applications. Typical purity: 99.9% – 99.99% REO.

Neodymium Oxide (Nd2O3)


Primary feedstock for neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnet alloy production — the highest-volume rare earth oxide in global permanent magnet supply chains. Also used in laser glass and specialty ceramics. Typical purity: 99.5% – 99.9% REO.

Dysprosium Oxide (Dy2O3)


Critical additive oxide in high-coercivity NdFeB magnet formulations. Dysprosium extends the operable temperature range of NdFeB magnets and improves resistance to demagnetization — essential for EV traction motors and high-temperature industrial drives. Typical purity: 99.5% – 99.9% REO.

Praseodymium Oxide (Pr6O11)


Used as a neodymium substitute or blended with neodymium in NdFeB magnet alloys. Also used in ceramic colorants, specialty glass, and catalytic converters. Typical purity: 99.5% – 99.9% REO.

Lanthanum Oxide (La2O3)


Used in optical glass formulations, fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts, and as a dopant in specialty ceramics. Higher-volume oxide with broad industrial demand. Typical purity: 99.5% – 99.99% REO.

Cerium Oxide (CeO2)


The highest-volume rare earth oxide by tonnage. Used in glass polishing compounds, automotive catalytic converters, fuel cell electrolytes, and UV-blocking coatings. Typical purity: 99.0% – 99.99% REO.

Rare Earth Alloys & Compounds


Alloy and compound forms offer processed, closer-to-specification feedstock for specialty ceramics, optical coatings, advanced manufacturing, and R&D programs requiring precise elemental composition. Mischmetal Alloys


Mixed rare earth alloys in naturally occurring or adjusted La/Ce/Pr/Nd ratios for use in steel desulfurization, nickel-metal hydride battery alloys, and specialty metallurgy. Standard mischmetal and cerium-free grades available.

Rare Earth Fluorides


Rare earth fluoride compounds including LaF3, CeF3, NdF3, and SmF3 for optical thin film coatings, vacuum deposition targets, and specialty glass manufacturing.

Refractory & Specialty Alloys


SNT supplies refractory and non-ferrous metal products across a range of forms, such as plate, bar, foil, tube, sheet, and wire, to aerospace, energy, electronics, and industrial customers. Tungsten & Molybdenum

Tantalum & Niobium

Titanium & Titanium Alloys

Vanadium Compounds


Vanadium Pentoxide (V2O5) and Vanadium Sulfate for use in industrial catalysis, ferrovanadium production, energy storage systems, and specialty ceramics. Vanadium pentoxide serves as a primary catalyst in sulfuric acid production and as an electrode material in vanadium redox flow batteries.

Zirconium & Nanomaterials


SNT supplies zirconium compounds and engineered nanomaterials to research institutions and manufacturers requiring precise particle morphology, controlled surface chemistry, and consistent purity.

Zirconium Dioxide (ZrO2)

Nanomaterials
