Robotics & Automation


Modern robotic platforms require motors that combine high torque density with continuous-duty thermal stability, properties where SmCo permanent magnets have no peer. SNT develops complete actuator and servo motor systems for humanoid robots, collaborative robotic arms, and autonomous mobile platforms.

Humanoid Robot Joint Actuators


Joint actuator systems are the core movement architecture of advanced humanoid robots. SNT develops complete actuator systems integrating a SmCo rotor assembly, high-efficiency stator, encoder, harmonic drive interface, and thermal management architecture.



Installed at shoulder, hip, and knee joints, each actuator typically contains 8–24 SmCo arc segments in Sm2Co17 grades ranging from 28–32 MGOe. A single humanoid platform may require 12–20 major actuators and 20–40 additional precision motion systems.

Precision Servo Motor Systems


Servo motors provide precise positioning across robotic arms, end effectors, and gripper systems. SNT servo systems integrate a SmCo rotor assembly, precision stator, encoder systems, and motion-control interfaces. Typical configurations use 4–12 SmCo magnets per motor in Sm2Co17 28 MGOe geometries.

Electric & Hybrid Vehicles


Permanent magnet motors are the dominant traction architecture in modern electric vehicles. SNT develops SmCo-based traction motor systems and thermal management compressor drives for EV applications where performance under sustained thermal load is the critical constraint.

EV Traction Motor Systems


SNT traction motor systems incorporate a SmCo rotor assembly, laminated core, high-efficiency stator, power electronics interface, and thermal management integration. Passenger EV systems typically utilize 24–72 magnet segments weighing 2–6 kg; commercial EV systems may require 48–120 segments at 5–15 kg. Preferred grades: Sm2Co17 30–32 MGOe.


Installation points: main drive unit, e-axle assemblies, commercial vehicle powertrains.

EV Thermal Management Compressor Systems


Thermal management systems regulate battery temperature, cabin climate, and power electronics cooling. SNT compressor motor systems integrate a SmCo rotor assembly, high-speed electric motor, compressor module, and control electronics. Typical configurations contain 6–16 SmCo magnets at 0.1–0.5 kg using Sm2Co17 28–30 MGOe grades.

Aerospace


Aerospace applications impose the most demanding performance criteria of any motor system: high reliability requirements, wide temperature ranges, strict weight constraints, and long service intervals with limited maintenance access. SNT permanent magnet motor and generator systems are developed for flight-critical applications where performance cannot be compromised.

Flight Control Actuation


Electromechanical actuators for primary and secondary flight control surfaces require motors with high power density, fast dynamic response, and fault-tolerant design. SNT PM motors for actuation applications are developed to meet the reliability and environmental requirements of flight-critical systems.

Radar & Antenna Drive Systems


Radar platform and antenna positioning systems require motors capable of precise angular positioning, smooth low-speed operation, and resistance to electromagnetic interference. SNT motors for radar drive applications are designed for low cogging torque and high positional accuracy.

Industrial & Energy


Industrial drive applications reward the core strengths of permanent magnet motors: high efficiency across the load range, long service life, and reliable performance in demanding environments. SNT motors and generator systems serve high-speed compressor, pump, test stand, and energy recovery applications.

High Speed Compressors & Pump Drives


Centrifugal compressors and turbocharger systems operate at shaft speeds that exceed the limits of conventional induction motor drives. SNT high-speed PM motors are designed for direct-drive compressor applications, eliminating gearboxes and their maintenance burden. Variable-speed pump applications benefit from PM motor efficiency at partial load, delivering IE4-class efficiency across the full duty cycle.

Test Stands & Energy Recovery


Motor and generator test stands require drive systems capable of absorbing or generating torque across a wide speed range with high dynamic accuracy. SNT generator sets are also used in turboexpansion and energy recovery applications, industrial gas processing systems that recover energy from pressure differentials using high-speed PM generators.
